The freezing and crashing sound like a faulty hard drive - did you accidentally drop it at any point? A friend of mine dropped his and it stopped working. I can't speak for the Indian market since I haven't been in touch with it, but I would suggest going for a flash-based player to avoid hard disk problems. I think it would come down to size - the Zen Vision: W is a lot larger than the regular Zens. If you want that large screen and are comfortable with the size, by all means go for it. Otherwise, you might want to consider one of the more compact Zens.
